Recording of Area C: Christina Lake – All Candidates Meeting Live Event

Christina Lake Community Hall – 90 Park Rd. Christina Lake, BC (October 4, 2026)
Christina Gateway’s Meet the Candidates

Christina Gateway’s role is to provide opportunities for
residents to connect, access reliable information, and
participate in conversations that affect our community. In
keeping with this role, we are pleased to host an all-candidates
meeting for Area C: Christina Lake. This non-partisan event will give residents an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates, learn where they stand on matters important to Christina Lake, and make an informed decision before election day.
Help Shape Tourism at Christina Lake

Tourism is an important part of Christina Lake’s economy and community. To support practical, well-informed tourism planning, the Christina Gateway Community Development Association is seeking expressions of interest from people who may wish to contribute to its Tourism Advisory Committee.
What is the the Christina Lake Trail Alliance

A collaborative committee supporting Christina Lake trails through advocacy and coordination. The Trail Alliance brings together organizations representing trail user groups, industry, tourism, and local government. We share information, identify common concerns, and connect the organizations and agencies involved in trail access, planning, stewardship, safety, and promotion.

Al, Growth & Stewardship

Economic development is often described as creating the conditions for prosperity. Stewardship is making sure that prosperity is sustainable. That balance has been on my mind recently as conversations continue in Christina Lake about Al data centres and the infrastructure that supports them. While the discussion may be local, the questions it raises are much bigger than our community.
Supporting Access to Medical Services

Christina Gateway is contributing funds toward the City of Grand Forks’ commitment to support the Boundary Medical Clinic. Boundary Medical Clinic supports access to doctors, and contributes to emergency services at Boundary Regional Hospital. Supporting the clinic helps keep more health care options available in the region. That benefits Christina Lake residents, local workers, families, seniors, and anyone who needs access to care.
Gateway’s Transportation Study Update

Over the summer and fall of 2024 we spoke with over 350 individuals through pop-up events, roundtables and business walks. These meetings provided a comprehensive understanding of our transportation gaps, and resulted in numerous recommendations presented in the On the Move Transportation Study.
Christina Lake Welcome Package

We are excited to introduce the Christina Lake Welcome Package! A new initiative by the Rotary Club of Christina Lake, in conjunction with Christina Gateway and the RDKB!
This program is designed to warmly welcome new residents to our beautiful community while supporting local businesses. Each welcome package includes thoughtfully selected locally made items, Christina Lake memorabilia, gift cards to local businesses, important information about our community, and a few practical essentials to help newcomers feel at home right away.
How Does a Bridge Create Economic Impact?

Infrastructure such as pathways and bridges create economic impact by improving how people move through a community. Now that the Christina Creek Pedestrian Bridge is open, it is doing more than connecting two points on a map. It is connecting residents and visitors more directly to local businesses, services, and community spaces.
